We focus on media, marketing, consumer products & services, and health care companies.
We are seed stage investors, have a core investment range of from $100K-$300K, and syndicate investments to $1 million.
We limit our investment activity to 3-5 companies per year so that we can provide active guidance and assistance to our partners.
Background
We built a successful marketing services company from scratch and sold it.
So unlike many investors, we understand the challenges of building and operating a business, and determining the best ways to monetize it.
And now, we actively guide and invest in other entrepreneurs so that they can achieve their own successes.
Leadership
Geoffrey Kanter, Managing Partner
For the past 25 years, Mr. Kanter has founded, operated and invested in media, marketing services, consumer products/services, and health care businesses.
He currently serves as Managing Partner and a member of the Board of Directors of Green City Solutions, as a lead investor in and advisor to Oonee, and as an advisor to the founders of Sollis Health.
From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Kanter was a Founding Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Brand Connections, an integrated media and marketing company enabling leading national advertisers to reach consumers in leisure, recreation, and travel environments. Mr. Kanter led the sale of Brand Connections to private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson in June, 2008.
Prior to Brand Connections, Mr. Kanter held leadership roles at College Television Network (Sold to MTV), Primedia (Channel One Network), Burlington Industries, and Accenture.
Mr. Kanter earned an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA, Magna Cum Laude in Economics, from Duke University.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Duke Angel Network and is an active contributor to the Duke Program For Entrepreneurs and the Duke Global Entrepreneurship Network (DukeGEN) as a lecturer, mentor, and panelist. With his wife, he has established the Kanter Arts Scholarship at Duke to provide tuition assistance for students with a passion for and talent in the arts.
